"Friends will go anywhere with you...The times that I've shared with my best friends are the best times that I've ever had" I count myself very fortunate to have had great friends at various points in my life. Some have stuck around and some have faded away, but in my memory, they are all great friends. Here's some pics from when I knew/met them: Orland Park, Wheaton College, Milwaukee, and Arizona. High School and beyond? Wild women, wild ways! Sogand, Nancy, Kathy, & me
This is a scandalously old photo of my friend Kathy and I, but I have always liked it: beautiful sky, on the beach. Kath is now living in Austin TX and using her degrees in water resource management and chemistry. See why we have always joked that we share one brain: she got the science, I got the humanities. The picture on the right includes our old friend, Sogand. By far, one of the smartest people I know, Soggy is pursuing her MD/Ph.D. and lives in Chicago.
So, I guess (Chris) Ulmer is my friend from Orland, but he would also fit in the Milwaukee category. I met Chris in the 7th grade through band. We survived Gannon and CSHS band. When I moved to Milwaukee, Chris was there, having attended Milwaukee School of Engineering and was working in the area. He has since moved to Colorado, but I see him most years during the Christmas season when we both visit our families. If you need some handy job done in your apartment (like making a pulley for your lightswitch) Ulmer is your man. More of the high school gang... Eric (the "kisser") and Bill (the "kissee"). Eric was our (not always) gracious host during high school-- more than one Friday night was spent at Shield's place-- it even hosted my surprise 17th birthday, thanks to collaborate between my mom, Kath, and Eric.
